Our Mission

The Janezic Foundation was created in honor of Kyle Janezic after his death in January, 2023, for the extension and accessibility of music arts education for kids. We support charities, growing artists, and organizations with aligned causes through public and private fundraising, as well as benefit concerts, raising money to offer grants, scholarships, and internal programming.

Help us reach students who lack the accessibility to a proper music education today with a donation.

Who:

Meet our team of dedicated members, who have joined our efforts at the very beginning of this journey in the name of music, our brother Kyle, and the freedom of arts education for all.

Jon Janezic
President
Jon Janezic is the President and Co-Founder of the foundation, leveraging his extensive background in both music and IT to lead the organization. Raised in a musical household with his father being a multi-instrumentalist, Jon's passion for music began at an early age. He started in musical theatre and choral work before becoming the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for The Charlie River Band, with his brother Kyle on bass. Even after the band's breakup, Jon has stayed deeply connected to the music scene, consistently engaging with artists, attending concerts, and building industry relationships. Alongside his musical journey, Jon has built a successful career in IT management and holds a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from Boston University. Driven by his diverse skill set, Jon is dedicated to ensuring the foundation makes a meaningful and lasting impact for years to come.
Kristof Janezic
Vice-President
Kristof Janezic joins his brothers as the Vice President and one of the Co-Founders. With a BFA in Production Design, he has worked in the entertainment industry consistently for the last 12 years. As a designer and technical lead on projects ranging across theater, immersive, concerts, and events, the opportunity to bring his experience of entertainment production to such a noble cause is exciting. Throughout his time in entertainment, he has gone in and out of educational spaces, taking on mentees, teaching students, and working with educational institutions theater departments to spread what experience he can to a young and hungry generation. From production coordination to educational programming, Kristof will bring any and all experience to see this foundation flourish.
